Special Day with Grandma

This Little Lady had a special day with her Grandma for her birthday.  It is little early, since her birthday is not until August 14th - but we have quite a busy schedule these next few weeks, so when a day worked, we went with it.

This was the after picture - I forgot to take a picture before they left 

and Purple Girl's hair was a little more in place and she wasn't all tired 

out from the busy day.  But it is still a sweet picture.

They went to the mall and went shopping.  According to Grandma, Purple Girl

wanted to try on every dress.  They were able to decide on a few dresses - of 

course ones that SPIN nice and wide - which Purple Girl could NOT wait 

to show me.  Another highlight at the mall is that Grandma and Purple Girl

went up and down the escalator around 20 times.  

After the mall, they headed out to lunch at Culver's - 

with ice cream for dessert.

Then they went to feed the ducks - which Purple Girl

loved and couldn't stop telling me about.  She came home with several

new feathers to show me - two of which had a beautiful purple color to them.

Needless to say, she had a wonderful fun day with Grandma and

by the end she asked "Grandma, how long do I have to wait until

we can do this again?"

Thanks Grandma for making time for this special day -

it truly meant a lot to her.

Daddy's Helper

Little J loves any thing with a motor.  He gets so excited whenever he hears a motor of any kind - whether a lawn mower, a motorcycle or a car.  It is sweet to watch.  Whenever we are in the garage he heads right for Daddy's lawn mower.  He is so anxious to try it himself and this particular day he was putting all his effort forward in trying to move it out of the garage on his own.

Sisters

It is so sweet to watch these two play together and

take care of their babies.  They love pushing their strollers 

and taking their babies wherever their imagination takes them that day.

Future Driver

Little J really enjoyed helping Grammie drive her car.  

He loves to be behind the wheel and loves any thing that makes noise!

Shopping

We had to run a few errands and I thought it was sweet seeing 

Little J hold onto his brother and Grammie's hand as we walked into the store.

Little Michigan Fan

Busy Bee loves Michigan just like her daddy.  Or at least she loves to wear Michigan clothes and say "I am just like daddy."  Grammie found this for Busy Bee for her birthday this year.  

Sisters

Busy Bee had a book she was trying to read when Purple Girl recognized she was struggling.  So Purple Girl volunteered to read it to her.  It was so sweet to see Purple Girl reading a book to her little sister.  I know the book and think she read almost the entire thing correctly.  It was funny however, because one line that I know says "His digger was perfect."  I heard Purple Girl say "His digger was PURPLE!"
