Bugs

Our kids love little bugs.  They enjoyed watching them,catching them and even letting them crawl on their arms.  This particular day Busy Bee spotted an ant crawling in our kitchen.  She followed it around on hands and knees for quites some time.

Trip to Nebraska

We took a fun family trip to NE to visit daddy's sister, brother-in-law and niece! 

The kids have so much fun at their Aunt and Uncle's house.

Sick Kids

Sickness has hit our home.  Busy Bee was sick all last week with off and on fever, stomach aches and a cough.  After a week, she is finally doing better and back to her spunky self.  Big J was sick on Sunday - thankfully just for about a day and is back to normal.  Little J is a little congested, but otherwise is doing fine.  Purple Girl is now the one sick and really feeling down and out right now.  High fever and belly ache.  She is holding in there, but we are hoping she feels better soon.

 

You know that Purple Girl is not feeling well, when in the middle of the morning I see this:

 

 

Grammie is in town this week, so I am blessed to have her help.

 Busy Bee was going out with Grammie this morning while I stayed home with Purple Girl.

We LOVE summer!  Even if the weather is not the best, we still can find ways to get outside.  Of course, with having our little baby boy, it often keeps our activities close to home right now.  This afternoon the kids enjoying playing on the deck with play dough.

 

 

Painting

The kids love to paint.  It is hard for us to do this activity in the winter, as mom doesn't enjoy the clean up when inside.  However, in the summer they love to get outside and make some neat pictures.

 

 

 

 

Busy Bee enjoyed participating in this activity. 

However, she did not like it if the paint got on her. I kept having to wipe it off.

Two Months Old - Little J

Little J was two months old on June 6th.  He loves to "talk" with whoever will listen to him and give out a lot of smiles when spoken to.  He usually goes from a very serious face, to a BIG smile, back to serious.  He is my hiccup boy - he is my first child to get the hiccups so often.

 

We love this little guy and are so blessed to have him as part of our family!

Sisterly Love

Busy Bee sure enjoys her little brother.  She will sit and talk with him, bring all her toys to him, and of course tell me every new noise he makes.  This particular day, she was getting a kick out of placing a cup on his head.

It takes quite a bit of work to get Little J in a picture on his own.  If you can only imagine the chaos happening behind the camera.  When I finally have a few pictures of the Little Guy, I allow his siblings to get ahold of him.

Rainy Day

The kids enjoyed going outside and playing in the rain.  Big Brother wanted to be under his umbrella.

 

 

The girls didn't care about being under an umbrella.  They just wanted to jump and run in the rain.

Future Career Thoughts from children

We were blessed to spend some time with the Fell cousins again today.  The four oldest go to talking about what they want to be when they grow up.  It was so sweet to hear their responses:

 

Cousin Girl Fell said she wanted to be a doctor.  When asked what a doctor does, she said "they fix ouchies"

 

Big J said he wanted to be an astronaut.  When asked what they do, he said "fly to the moon and work there."

 

Purple Girl said she wanted to be a princess.  When asked what they do, she said "spend time with Jesus."

 

And Cousin Boy Fell said he wanted to be President.  However, he wasn't sure what they did, so Big J told him that the President "tells people about Jesus."  Cousin Boy Fell changed his mind to being a Pastor, and said that they "tell people what to do at church."  He said he needed to then go work on his talk

(his sermon).

 

 

 

 

 

Babysitters

We have made a deal with the Fell's where they will babysit our children one night a month if we babysit theirs (yes, we certainly are getting the easier end of this deal).  Needless to say, we are very grateful.  The first night of babysitting went well - the four oldest enjoyed jumping on Uncle T!

 

 

We are so grateful and so blessed to live next to family!

They have greatly enjoyed dressing up and playing together.

Busy Bee Enjoys Little Brother

Busy Bee is really into her little brother.  She loves talking with him and "playing" with him.

This morning I was doing the dishes when I heard Busy Bee so excited to show me something.

She has placed her baby doll next to Little J and covered them up.
