Every year the kids get really excited about setting up the Christmas tree.
We have a tradition of setting up the tree (lights and ornaments), then the youngest child who can walk
gets to put the star on the top, next the kids open up their ornament boxes (which includes one new
ornament for this year). Once the tree is complete, daddy reads a Christmas story, we eat a fun dinner by the Christmas tree and then
watch a movie together a family as we enjoy some fun flavored popcorn!
The picture below makes me smile!!! We usually allow the kids to put up the ornaments at first before we rearrange them.
Daddy gave the children a nice "speech" about not putting all the ornaments in one spot and spreading them out.
After he was done talking, Purple Girl decorated the tree like this:
