I try to make the first day of school exciting for the kids.
Monday morning August 1st, here we go :)
We started off with a scavenger hunt to fill up our treasure boxes.
They found all the items.
After our morning school, we had a special lunch to go with our
school year theme. Last year it was God is Amazing!
This year, we are adding to that, so it is:
God is Amazing, Worship HIM! Our school year verse is:
Revelation 4:11
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they existed and were created.”
So, we made a lunch based on God's Amazing Creation.
Not sure if you can tell from the pic, but for those who are curious
we had:
Sun=Hard Boiled Egg and Pretzel Sticks
Flower=Celery, Strawberries,grape
Fish =Orange,strawberries,blueberries
Bear=graham crackers,marshmallows, chocolate chips
Mountain=Bread,PB,choc chip
Tree=Celery stick with PB and spinach
This is not our normal lunch,
so it was special and the kids of course
LOVED IT!
