Time for Nap

Farmer J has enjoyed putting his little brother down for nap on the days that he does not nap.  Our four year old will be five soon and is quickly moving out of the nap phase.  It is so adorable watching Farmer J read to him and tuck him into bed that I couldn't help but get a few pictures.

As it turned out, the sequence of these pictures brought many smiles to the other kids faces.

First, Farmer J reading nicely and Puppy J listening:

Then Farmer J decides to "snuggle" into his brother,

Which leads to Puppy J pushing Farmer J down

They laugh and then are back to reading.

But within seconds Farmer J decides to push
the book in Puppy J's face...

And then two nice boys again,
Farmer J looking at me like "What?"
this is our normal routine

And back to nicely reading together again.

Believe it or not, I was able to leave the room
and although I heard a lot more giggles,
Farmer J got Puppy J into bed, lights off,
door closed and Puppy J went down for his nap.

These two have so much fun together.
So thankful for them both!

Time to Go Home

The last night of our stay, the
three youngest children were exhausted and
off to bed early.

So the four us snuggled in mom and
dad's bed together to watch the Michigan basketball game.

The next morning, the kids woke up dad again,
at least this time it was 6am.

Time to leave...

Everyone was so sad....

Howling like a wolf with
his wolf ears on

We were very thankful for a fun trip,
healthy kids and safe travels!

Thank you Lord!!

Face Painting and Balloons

At the Lodge the kids got balloons -
this guy wanted a sword

He was carrying it and then all of
the sudden it was gone.
It was so funny when he discovered it was
stuck on his back.

They also had face painting.

Three kitties...

And a wolf

To the pool again!

Since we were at a pool, I didn't carry
my phone around with me.  But wanted
to grab a few photos.
So unfortunately Puppy J was standing by
me while we took pictures and I didn't get
any of him in the water.  But he enjoyed
swimming, went down the BIG slide with his
daddy, and loved the little kids slides.

The Way We Like IT!

This is the way we like it when we go to this hotel!

An empty parking lot.
Certainly one perk of homeschooling is we can
go to places in their off or down times.
This hotel on the weekends and over school breaks
is packed full and as one employee told me
"children are running everywhere and are up until
late hours of the night."

But for us - we feel like we are almost the only
ones there. Our children have no idea what it means to
stand in lines for rides or share this Magi Quest game
with other kids.  They had it all to themselves.

We are also an early morning family.  On morning one,
three of the children were up by 5am.  We tried to keep
them in bed until 6am.  The restaurant to get breakfast didn't
open until 7:30am, the Magi Quest game doesn't open until 9am
and the pool doesn't open until 10am.
SOOOOO - we had a few hours to entertain before the hotel was
ready for us.

But at 9am, these three were ready to
start another Quest.

And they had little kids yoga, so Big Sister Fancy E
convinced Puppy J to participate.
