Kids Christmas Pictures

It is that time of year again, when I attempt to take pictures of the children by the Christmas tree.
I smile as I write this - because before I begin, I always seem to have high expectation that I will come out with the "perfect" picture of all five children looking sweetly at the camera with their eyes open and their smiles perfect.  Ha!  When will I learn!

These few turned out nice...maybe not perfect...but five children all
looking at the camera, eyes open, and sitting still!

And what did I learn again this year?

The pictures that gave my heart the most joy were not
pictures with perfect smiles, but instead....

This one - with two little boys sticking their tongues out and being silly...

Or this one when baby brother is about ready to
throw this gift he was suppose to be holding sweetly...

And I love this one - no perfect "smile" but
sweetness as little sister adores big sister...

And this one - more tongues and giggles...

And baby brother being quite goofy as Big Brother's
lean in for hugs...

So, in the end - I did not need a "perfect" picture
because these pictures are perfect to me -
bringing me joy and smiles to my heart
for years to come I am sure.

Love these children!

Missed Pic

I missed this picture when I posted about setting up our Christmas tree.

This young lady put our Christmas skirt on and of course twirled around.

Daddy's Home

Dad had been gone for TWO weeks in Texas for a Farm Show.
He arrived home yesterday and needless to say, we were all very excited!

Waiting for daddy to come down the stairs at the airport.

Of course all the children were very excited,
but I focused my camera on this little guy
who had missed his daddy GREATLY and
was beyond excited for his return.

Not sure if you can tell by the picture, but
when he saw his daddy, he was jumping
up and down.

And that is why this blurry picture
below is special to me - so much excitement
and jumping!

All the other children ran up to him and Little Puppy
stood still for a minute trying to take in what
was happening. Then all of the sudden,
he yells joyfully "DADDY DADDY" and
runs to him as well.

Farmer J could not wait to see his daddy
and remind him that he gets to ride on
his suitcase on the way out of the airport.

Daddy didn't not have enough hands to hold
all the children who wanted his love when he arrived.

So thankful for his safe travels and for
him being home.  The Lord certainly watched
over us all while we were apart and for that once
again - we PRAISE HIM!

Baking Day - Cut Out Cookies

I had some wonderful helpers
to make Christmas Cut Out Cookies.

We opted to frost the cookies
while Famer J was resting.

So thankful for my help!

Enjoying Days at Park

Oh, how we LOVED enjoying these nice
November days at the park.

By the time you are reading this,
these days of 60 and 70 degrees have
come to an end.

But oh, how those November days were
wonderful!
