It is always special when one of the children make a note for mom.  

Special Breakfast With Daddy

Purple Girl has a special date with daddy the other morning - Breakfast at Village Inn.

She of course had to get dressed up all "fancy" for her "DATE" with daddy :) 

Such a Lady

Our Purple Girl loves to be a little lady.  The other day she got to go out to the Land with her daddy and big brother.  She loves going to the land and loves all the activities - riding on the tractor with daddy as he mows, riding the 4-wheeler really FAST, and the freedom of being outside.  However, it took quite a bit of convincing that she needed to wear this outfit instead of the skirt or dress she wanted to wear.

She kept telling me she doesn't like "BOY" colors or "BOY" clothes.  

The pink overalls she used to have she has out grown.  These

overalls are Big Brother's old ones that he has out grown.

Oh my, it was difficult for her to wear these. 

The only thing that got her through was me telling her she could

put a dress on the minute she got home.  And that she did. 

She walked in the door and took these off immediately 

to put on a much fancier, girl outfit!

Another Special Photo

This Little Guy loves to give his older sister (Busy Bee) a hard time.  

Busy Bee has been enjoying wearing her Minnie Mouse outfit lately and Little J 

has been watching her.  The minute she laid down her ears, Little J was quick to pick them up.

I placed them on his head and off he ran down the hall with the biggest smile on his face as

looked back to see if Busy Bee was running after him.  She was busy with something else,

so his plan did not work.  

Special Photo

This photo is so special to me because I came upon Purple Girl reading "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" all by herself to her baby Belle. She loves Belle so much and would do any thing for her.  Purple Girl is starting to read, however, it certainly is not her favorite thing to do.  So, when I came upon her reading word for word the entire book to her baby doll, I had to run and grab the camera for a picture before she saw me.  It was such a sweet moment for a mommy!

Just Like Big Brother

Little J brings so many smiles to our faces.  His Big Brother loves to play basketball, so of course Little J wants to play too.  It is so cute to watch him try so hard to make a shot just like his big brother.

He will stand there for the longest time holding the 

ball in the air before he finally tries to throw it into the hoop. 

The other day we were playing outside and Little J was right with his big

brother carrying his BIG ball around.

Once again he stood under the hoop and held his ball in the air as

long as he could just hoping somehow it would go in.

Adventureland Fun

Taking care of Little Sister who was nervous to go 

on a ride.

She went on with BIG Brother

and now loves the ride.

First time on the Raging River Ride this year.  

No one got all too wet - but they had a BLAST!

It means so much to her to take care of him.

Last Day oF School

Today we had an end of the school year party with the cousins!  We have greatly enjoyed doing school with these cousin's on Friday's and today was our last day together of school for the year.  

The children recited the entire timeline they learned in history this year.  It is a 12 minute song - you can listen to it here if you'd like.  They know the entire song with hand motions to go along.  

After reciting the timeline, they had a special lunch awaiting them with notes from mom.

It has been a fun school year and we look forward to next year!

Of course I think the children are most excited for the summer!

Girls and Their Babies

I love watching these two little ladies playing with their baby dolls together.  It brings back such fun memories when I was a child and I would play dolls with my sister.

Summer Treats

Clifford My Pal

Whenever we go play at Aunt Fell's home, Busy Bee always finds Clifford the Big Red dog.  She carries him with her the entire time we play.  Often Clifford will be sitting in a seat and according to Busy Bee there is no room for any one else besides Clifford next to her.  

John Deere Tractor

Little J enjoyed sitting on this old John Deere toy tractor.

  It was my dad's when he was little, so it was neat to see Little J on it.

Playtime

Purple Girl loves when her little brother wants to play with her.  So, she was very happy when he enjoyed pushing the stroller around the house with her.

Just Like Big Brother

Busy Bee wants to be just like her older brother.

So, as most of you know, Big Brother is often

found reading a book.  Busy Bee will find a BIG book too 

(a chapter book) and sit right next to her Big Brother

and "read" along with him.

Playing in the Backyard

Little J once again loved picking up the rocks...

and carrying them to the pool and throwing them in.

Cousin Love

We had cousins over this week.  

Little J and Cousin B are only 6 months apart and I realized

I hadn't gotten any picture of the two of

them together.  

So we put them in pack and play, but Little J made it very 

difficult to get a good photo.  He had never acted this way with a baby before, but

it was quite funny.

He first would crawl over to his cousin...

Then give him a very slobbery kiss on the forehead...

Then he would roll over and look up at his cousin...

And roll around in his cousin's lap....

 

This did not just happen once.  He did this several times.

Cousin B was a good sport about it and never got upset

However, you can tell by his face below, he was wondering

what this kid was doing??

 

Simple Joy - Feeding the Geese

We are learning about birds in school, so we took a field trip to go feed the ducks and geese.

Big J and Purple Girl were not afraid to let the geese eat right out of their hands.

because Busy Bee was asking her big brother

"You go get one of those for me so I can pet it!"
