Birthday Girl

Purple Girl had a very special birthday!  She started the morning all dressed up and very excited about the fact that she is now FIVE!

She came downstairs to find a bouquet of flowers
waiting for her.  She told me this year that when she
grows up she wants to be a gardener.  She loves flowers!

Love this little LADY so much!

Since her birthday theme was SHINE for Jesus (Matthew 5:6),
we made a jewelry box cake that shined!

We opened presents.  She was excited to receive
a new necklace.

Her other gifts included art supplies that SHINE-
glitter glue, glitter paint and more glitter to dump.
Her siblings enjoyed this activity with her.

Special pic with mom and dad
(and little brother's head who was jealous
not to be in the picture)

After lunch we sang happy birthday to her.
She had several special guests for her party this year.
Grammie, Aunt Kelly and kids, plus her Aunt Mandi from South Carolina,
Aunt Mandi's two children, Cousin C and Cousin L and their nanny Anna,
who is very sweet, fun lady.

She enjoyed eating cake.

And then we headed to the zoo for the afternoon.

All in all it was a wonderful day
and I do believe she had a fun time.

The very next morning (this morning),
she came into my room early and asked
"How long until I am six mom??"
Oh, to want to be old.
